Mitigating Risk and Improving HR policies
SITUATION
For profit contractor who provided services across the east coast was in a period of rapid growth and making numerous hires. The client was unaware of increased HR and Risk Management exposures that came with its rapid growth.
SOLUTION
We were brought on to work with this client on their commercial insurance and risk management. During our risk management assessment, which takes a holistic approach to understanding your entire business, we uncovered multiple HR and risk management exposures. This client lacked policies and procedures around hiring new employees, had no background check process, and was missing multiple coverages that created legal and financial exposures.
RESULTS
Our broad based approach allowed us to identify these exposures and implement new HR policies and procedures. Exude’s HR consultant worked with the client to create, communicate and implement a hiring process that included background checks and strategies for retention. We also implemented appropriate coverages to protect the organization in case of employee relations issue. In turn, the client saved time, money and resources during a period of rapid growth and set them up for future cost savings and success
